Magnetic Moments at CLS

Monday November 30, 2026 - 8:30am-4:30pm CST

Who: Post-secondary Educators involved in science education
Where: In-person at the Canadian Light Source in Saskatoon, SK (with hybrid participation via Zoom)
Cost: $30 in person / $20 virtual

Join us at the Canadian Light Source for an enlightening day with magnets - how they are used to produce synchrotron light and how they connect to curriculum.

To kick off the morning we’ll tour the facility, exploring the machine and beamline areas. This will be followed by informative presentations and discussions from a few experts at the CLS.

In the afternoon, we’ll pivot to a workshop environment: digging into what we’ve learned, how the content fits curriculum and can be incorporated into the classroom, and working together to find ways to help make that happen for you.
